Rundown Privacy Policy
Effective November 5, 2026
Rundown is a planner for goals, projects, tasks, sparks and notes on iPhone, iPad and Mac. This page says what the app does with your data. The short version: everything you put in Rundown stays on your devices and in your own iCloud. There is no Rundown account, no Rundown server for you to sign in to, no ads and no tracking.
Who is responsible
Rundown is made by Alex Goeke, a sole proprietor doing business as Alexander Creative.

No account, no tracking
Rundown has no sign-in, no ads, no analytics code and no crash-reporting code. We do not sell or share personal information and we make no profiles of you.
If you have chosen, in your device settings, to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash and usage reports about Rundown. They don't include your name or anything you wrote, and we can't tell who sent them. You can turn that off in Settings (or System Settings on the Mac), Privacy and Security, Analytics and Improvements.
Your data stays yours
Your goals, projects, tasks, sparks, notes, canvases and attachments are stored on your device.
If you are signed in to iCloud, Rundown also keeps a copy in the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account, so your iPhone, iPad and Mac stay in sync. Apple stores it; we cannot see it, and the contents are stored with Apple's encrypted fields. To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for Rundown in your device settings. To delete the iCloud copy, delete Rundown's data under Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Storage (or System Settings on the Mac).
Deleting the app deletes the copy on that device. The iCloud copy stays until you delete it, so reinstalling brings your data back.
Location and weather
The Today screen can show the day's weather and sunrise and sunset. If you allow it, Rundown asks your device for an approximate location (it never asks for precise location). It rounds that to about a kilometre and sends it to the US National Weather Service (api.weather.gov) to get the forecast. The National Weather Service is a US government service; Rundown sends it no other information about you. Sunrise and sunset are worked out on your device. Outside the US there is no forecast, only the sun's times.
You can say no, or turn location off for Rundown at any time in your device settings. Everything else in the app works without it.
What we do receive
Only what you send us yourself: if you email support, we get your email address and whatever you write. We use it to answer you, keep it for 12 months after your last message, and then delete it. Our email is hosted by Google (Google Workspace).
Children
Rundown is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly receive personal information from them.
Your rights
Because we hold nothing about you except support email, there is nothing else for us to give you, correct or delete. To ask about or delete your support email, write to creative@alexandergoeke.com. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
- November 5, 2026: first version, for Rundown 1.0.
